Let is snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We are loving the snow. We have made snow people and sledged our way round the yard. We also made snow angels. Our visitor from China, Mr Wang took the sledge right up to the top of the look out spot and came down on it very fast. We were all laughing so much we forgot to take a photo. We have also helped Mark and Jama clear the snow with our spades, obviously they could not have done it without us.

Weston Park Museum

Today we went to Weston Park Museum. We saw a Polar bear, an arctic fox and wooly rhino. The children were very excited and learnt about Sheffield in the olden days, they asked Mrs Hartley if she was little then. We had a great day.

Cold places!

We are learning about cold places. We have been finding out about penguins and where they live. We have been singing songs from ‘Frozen’ and dressing up as polar bears. We have set the children a challenge to find out about the North or South Pole. Apparently they tell us we could walk there from school?
